Gov't Relations

Advocacy for the industry is one of the four key areas of the APSP. The organization works hard to ensure that members are protected on national, state, and local issues relevant to the industry.

Our advocacy and protection includes:

Lobbying on national, state, and local issues relevant to the industry

We support pool and spa industry interests in federal, state, and local legislation, and advancing the adoption of the ANSI/APSP standards into state and local laws.

Local issues management, spokespersons, and support

We empower grass roots association committees with tools to impact local legislative and regulatory issues.

Media and issues management

We provide national support in media outreach and crisis management.

Industry Research and Statistics

We supply key data for business strategy and planning.

Compliance with Federal OSHA and DOT regulations

We provide Materials Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) access, and the APSP Loss Control Manual help you guard against expensive government fines.
